Here is the first spot in a three-part television campaign for Benton REA's PowerNET. This first ad markets their Wireless Internet Services in rural areas of our corner of Eastern Washington, including Prosser, Grandview, Benton City and West Richland, among others. The spokesman in the ad just happens to be Ken Carter, a northwest artist and father-in-law of our very own Terry Carter. Enjoy.

The REACH Interpretive Center website

This post is a little late, but nearly two months ago we launched the new www.visitthereach.org site for the REACH Interpretive Center. The website will serve as a great promotional tool and news update as the REACH reaches its milestones and development of the building progresses. The interpretive center will serve as a valuable asset to the Mid-Columbia region, and a unique one at that – there is nothing else like it in Eastern Washington!

Focal Point's New Summer Hours

Starting this week, Focal Point is announcing its summer hours that will last through August 31, 2011. During this time, we'll be open Monday - Thursday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, and Friday from 8:00am to Noon. Summertime = fun time!

National ADDY's, Here We Come!

FOCAL POINT MARKETING WINS SILVER CHINOOK ADDY AWARD IN DISTRICT ELEVEN AND WILL ADVANCE ON TO THE NATIONAL ADDY AWARDS

In March, Focal Point Marketing tallied 19 Chinook ADDY Awards, including Best Of Show – just over a year after we launched. All of the winning awards advanced to compete in District Eleven of the American Advertising Federation. District Eleven is located in the Northwest and is made up of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington states, as well as the Canadian provinces British Columbia and Alberta. There are 15 Districts that will be competing in the National awards.

The award for Focal Point Marketing went to a photograph taken by Mitch Lewis, titled “Under The Bridge.” The photograph will compete against over 1,500 other national finalists for a National Addy Award on May 6^th and 7^th in Washington, D.C. National winners will be presented at the National Addy Awards Show in San Diego CA on June 4, 2011 held in conjunction with the AAF National Conference. The American Advertising Federation’s annual ADDYs were established in 1959 to recognize outstanding contributions to advertising and design.

Focal Point takes home 19 Chinook ADDY Awards

Your friends at Focal Point Marketing & Multimedia are proud to announce that we reeled in 19 awards at this year's Chinook ADDY Awards (American Advertising Federation), including the prestigious "Best In Show." We tallied fifteen Silver ADDY's for clients like Legacy Ford, St. Anthony Hospital, Three Rivers Convention Center, Six Degrees Restaurant and more. Two of the three Gold ADDY's came from photography, while the third Gold winner (and Best in Show recipient) was Knutzen's Meats for the BBQ sauce packaging design.

All in all, it was a very successful outing and many of the winners will be going on to compete at the Washington State level in Seattle against some of the bigger ad agencies. We're extremely proud of our staff, and we'd like to thank our terrific clients for trusting in our expertise.

Mid-Columbia Energy Initiative branding

We've had the pleasure to work with TRIDEC through the branding process of the Mid-Columbia Energy Initiative, a great coalition of local energy leaders looking to secure energy independence in our region and in the United States. This logo is the result of our integrated branding process that will spread across a wide range of materials.

Sorry everyone, there isn't room to step away from your TV's during the commercial breaks at this year's Super Bowl on Sunday. Why, you ask? Because there's sure to be some great advertising/commercials during the game, including a spot we created for Legacy Ford of Pasco. Hope everyone enjoys it, we'll post the commercial to "Out of Fucus" once the spot has aired.
